AI Act Compliance

Our commitment to trustworthy Artificial Intelligence

Valuemate takes a responsible approach to the use of Artificial Intelligence, drawing on the principles of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act) and international best practices in governance, security and risk management.

Artificial Intelligence is a tool that helps improve process efficiency, service quality and analytical capability. For this reason, we promote a conscious, transparent use of AI that is always supervised by people.

Principles adopted

In developing and integrating AI-based solutions, we are guided by the following principles:

  • centrality of the person and human oversight;
  • transparency in the use of Artificial Intelligence systems;
  • protection of personal data and confidentiality of information;
  • cybersecurity and system resilience;
  • assessment of the risks associated with the use of AI;
  • continuous improvement of the solutions adopted.

Human oversight

The Artificial Intelligence solutions used by Valuemate are designed to support people's work, not to replace human decision-making.

When AI is used within the services we provide, the results it produces are subject, where appropriate, to review, validation or control by qualified staff.

Transparency

When a service involves the use of Artificial Intelligence components, Valuemate is committed to providing clients with adequate information about the role played by AI within the process, its operational limitations, and how it is used.

Risk management

Valuemate regards risk management as an essential element in the adoption of Artificial Intelligence. For this reason, we promote activities aimed at:

  • identifying possible technical, organisational and operational risks;
  • assessing the impact on business processes;
  • adopting proportionate measures to reduce such risks;
  • monitoring the effectiveness of the solutions implemented over time.

Data protection

The use of Artificial Intelligence complies with applicable personal data protection regulations and with the company's information security policies.

Particular attention is paid to the confidentiality of client data, the minimisation of the information processed, and the adoption of adequate security measures.

Skills and training

Valuemate promotes the spread of AI-related skills through training and awareness activities aimed at its staff, so that AI tools are used effectively, responsibly and in line with company principles.

Continuous improvement

Regulatory and technological developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence are constantly monitored.

Valuemate progressively updates its governance processes and operational practices to promote an increasingly safe, transparent and trustworthy use of AI, in line with the evolving European regulatory framework.

Note

This document describes the general principles adopted by Valuemate in the use of Artificial Intelligence and does not constitute a certification statement or a declaration of full compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. Compliance with applicable requirements is pursued according to the services provided, the use cases implemented, and the evolution of the regulatory framework.

For the complete regulatory framework, see Valuemate's EU AI Act white paper (available in Italian); for internal governance details, see Valuemate's AI Policy.
